In the unique world of being a virtual assistant, time management is the key to success. With multiple clients, platforms, and expectations, it is imperative to be organized to ensure productivity to help your clients. Here are some tips to help you juggle your time.
- Time Blocking
- Allocate time to specific tasks and clients. For example, 9:00-9:30 manage inbox; 9:30-10:00 Invoices for client A, etc. This will help you to create a structure for yourself and ensure that tasks are being performed and completed.
- Set Goals
- While it’s essential to be ambitious, setting realistic goals is equally important. Break down larger tasks into smaller, more manageable steps. This not only makes the workload seem less daunting but also allows for a more accurate estimation of the time required for completion.
- Prioritize Tasks
- Prioritizing tasks that are high priority and using a time management tool to help do so, will help you to be productive and have a plan for your day. Focus on what needs to get done immediately rather than at a later date.
- Find What System Works for You
- There are many different platforms to help keep you on track. Click up? Trello? Asana? Google Suite? How do I know which one is the best for me and my business? Most of these platforms have a free trial you can use to see how it works. Find what works for you and stick with it.
Time management is the key to success. To ensure productivity and success, it is important to find systems and tools to help you, to in turn help your clients. Not only do you want to get tasks and work completed, but you want to do so efficiently. Don’t take off more than you can chew, start small, create systems and work efficiently.
